I'one thousand rating this afterward a 2nd attempt. The showtime time I followed the recipe to a T and thought it was banal, but a great starter recipe (iii ***'s then). I've since made it with the following substitutions. While cooking veggies and meat I added salt, pepper, minced garlic. When adding the broth I too added 3 tbspn of blood-red wine. Instead of using 1/2 loving cup sour foam, I used 1/4 loving cup depression fat sour cream and one/4 cup cream of mushroom. FANTASTIC!!!!!

This was very good. I followed the directions precisely, and it turned out just perfect. There was a overnice residuum between the flavours of all of the components, and expecially some sweetness from the onions, and great mushroom flavours. The Stroganoff was flossy, and actually flavoured each and every noodle. I made plenty for 4 portions, so that I can swallow more at a later appointment, and I am glad I did. This is the best tradtional stroganoff I have had to engagement. Add together ane clove minced garlic to mushroom/onion mixture for enhanced flavours. Thanks Coleen!

Great recipe! Very flavorful and very easy to make. I substituted olive oil for butter, beef consomme for beef broth and added 1 tbsp of minced garlic to the onions and mushrooms. Delicious!
09/20/2006
Delicious for how like shooting fish in a barrel it is! Made a few changes. Added i tsp minced garlic to the onion and mushrooms; used sliced sirloin steak instead of basis beefiness and added 1 tsp dijon mustard to the beef bouillon. Made the dish a little more than flavorful and less Hamburger Helper-like.

I was looking for a recipe similar to the Rice-A-Roni stroganoff that was recently discontinued. With a few modifications, this recipe fit the bill. I sauted the onion and hamburger together, calculation a couple cloves of minced garlic, leaving out the butter. Just equally the hamburger started to brown, I added a can of sliced mushrooms and continued to cook. Once the hamburger was dark-brown, I deglazed the pan with some dry sherry, then, instead of adding flour, I added the beef broth, brought it to a boil and added ane cup of minute rice and half the sour foam. Brought it up to but humid, covered, reduced rut and simmered 10-15 minutes until the rice was done and it started to thicken. Right toward the finish, I added the balance of the sour cream. My husband loved it. It will definitely exist made again.

Proficient starter recipe. Started out a fleck bland but was VERY adept after some tweaking. I followed other reviewers' suggestions and added Worchestershire sauce, garlic and pepper. I also added onion salt, plus additional common salt. Yet needed a little kick so I added paprika.
01/06/2006
Pretty darn tasty! I took all the tips. 2 Tbsp worcsh, paprika, garlic salt yada yada. Worked out perfect.
04/24/2011
I didn't intendance for this recipe. Kickoff, it doesn't state information technology and I know most cooks do information technology automatically just DRAIN THE FAT from the ground beefiness. It should still be in the instructions because sometimes you want to keep it and sometimes you don't. This is a don't time. It tin can come out greasy and soupy if you don't. I too recommend non cooking the noodles separate. Once you've completed the sauce but before the sour cream is added, through the noodles into the dish and allow them absorb the sauce. The noodles come up out bland if you don't. Season very well. I added a fair corporeality of salt and pepper and however found it bland.
01/31/2011
great starter recipe. changes i fabricated: 1. add mushrooms when onions are partially cooked. 2. add 3 T red wine & 3 cloves minced garlic while onion/mushroom mixture is cooking. 3. brown onion in only 1 T butter. 4. use calorie-free sour cream, of grade. 5. add together iii more T reddish vino to sauce. six. let sauce simmer for 15 minutes to permit flavors to blend. fabulous.
02/15/2006
This was yummy with my own additions. ii garlic cloves, double mushrooms and soy sauce. For the gravy I mixed powdered beef goop, brownish gravy mix and the liquid from the mushroom cans along with more than h2o.
04/06/2009
This was really expert. I read another reviewers' comments and included some garlic at the end of sauteeing the mushrooms and onions, and as well added some worcestershire sauce while cooking the footing beef. I eyeballed the flour and beef goop amounts, and added more of both as I felt was needed. I used low fatty plain yogurt instead of sour cream. The sauce had a nice, thick consistency and was really yummy.
12/24/2005
This was a practiced/easy recipe for beefiness stroganoff...but we did make some minor changes. Following the suggestions of some other reviewers, nosotros did add near ii tbsp of Worcestershire sauce and substituted 1/2 of the sour cream for Golden Mushroom soup; it'due south probably also worth noting that nosotros cut this recipe in half, and it turned out merely fine. DH did savor the flavour more I did...I felt information technology still lacked something, but I'yard not sure what.

This is one of our stand up by, go to meals. I fabricated the post-obit changes. one. Put salted water on to eddy. (should be equally salty every bit the sea). ii. Slice fresh mushrooms, die ane/ii medium onion, mince a clove or then of fresh garlic. 3. Drop the noodles in the water simply after starting the meat. 4. Place meat in skillet. As the meat merely starts to brown and juices begin, add the onion. Add the garlic a picayune afterwards on. (You're cooking the onion in the beef fatty rather than butter. 5. After the meat is cooked, bleed off all only a tablespoon of grease. six. Return pan with meat to burner. Sprinkle the ground meat with iii to 4 tablespoons of flour and cook for a minute or 2 (the culinary term is vocalizer and it allows the grease (fat) to coat the flour and cooks the flour. 7. Add together i loving cup of beefiness stock/broth and stir. Add more as necessary to form a nice smoother sauce. viii. Add mushrooms and simmer. The sauces will thicken as it cooks. ix. Continue to simmer until mushroom are done. 10. Just prior to service; take information technology off the estrus and stir in the room temperature sour cream. One pan, quick, fast, and in hurry. If information technology is too dry or bland try irresolute the beef or beef stock/broth The cardinal is the beef stock/broth. Scratch made is the best; however I practise quite well with beef base or Burgoo. Lately I've used "Better Than Bouillon" by Superior Touch. Another key is the ground beefiness. I detect the 80/20 proficient. The 90/10 seems to be too dry.
12/22/2003
Excellent!! I followed the advice of other people who rated this recipe and added some chopped garlic (two cloves) & red wine (ane/2 cup)to brown the beef...forth with the butter & later the flour etc. A little table salt & pepper with but 1 cup (8 oz) of sour foam added about the terminate just turned out to be awesome. I also used black angus london bake beef; cut very thin across the grain; that was cooked on a gas grill several weeks before (that I usually salve & freeze for steak fajitas) instead of the ground beef. The beef added a dainty slight smoky season to the sauce which was served over lightly buttered egg noodles. A huge hitting with my friends who easily compared it with similar dishes at 4-star french restaurants. A VERY VERY skilful base of operations recipe for beef stroganof. Highly recommended!!!
11/09/2011
This was very skilful, but I used many of the previous reviewers' tips and a few of my own. I added minced garlic to the mushrooms and onions- nosotros love garlic and I recall this would have been a bit bland without it. I did not cook my hamburger in butter - who needs the extra fatty? I found that the one cup of sour foam was not enough, so I added a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup and a few dashes of worchestershire and dijon mustard. My young man LOVED this. My one tip to beau cooks - use a VERY big skillet. By the time you get two pounds of beef, cups broth, and all the other ingredients in the pan - there's barely any room to stir. And stirring is definitely necessary to blend the ingredients well. Also, I used a 16 oz bundle of egg noodles and found it to be too many noodles. Definitely pay attention and merely employ 12 oz. Particularly if you're like me and like the noodles mixed in with the beefiness sauce.
09/03/2013
This recipe is a skillful starter, but needs a few tweaks to bring it from "boring" to something special. I saute chopped onions with a clove of minced garlic in Canola oil until most done, add fresh sliced mushrooms and proceed cooking for a infinitesimal or and so. Remove from pan. In same pan, fry thinly sliced circular or sirloin steak which has been seasoned with pepper and salt (optional). When done, add flour, ane T. Worcestershire sauce, 1 T. lemon juice, the beefiness broth or burgoo, and one bay leaf. Stir until smooth and add the mushrooms/onion mixture. When heated through, add together sour cream. Stir until combined, remove from oestrus and serve on top of the cooked and tuckered egg noodles.

This is one of my kids' favourite dishes and it is and then easy that they can assistance go far as well. Information technology is a go-to for busy weeknights. I always use lots of mushrooms, olive oil, lean ground beef, and low-fat sour cream. A few times I used whole-wheat flour and that worked fine too.
01/04/2011
Very good and piece of cake! Nosotros made this twice already, one time with thinly sliced sirloin steak and the 2nd time with footing beef. Both times turned out well but kids similar information technology more than with sliced sirloin steak. Would have rated this 5 stars, except we made some changes per the recommendations of others. We replaced 1/ii c sour cream with cream of mushroom soup, added worcestershire sauce and garlic, and omitted the flour every bit the sauce was thick enough.
01/19/2011
I rarely take the time to write a review or charge per unit some of the recipes on here, which I should do more considering I capeesh when people rate and review mine. I fabricated this recipe as is and I found it to exist very flavorful. I did add Worchestershire sauce which added that little "extra" that it needed. I too used depression sodium beef broth and so that I was in control of the sodium content. I practise not agree with the amount of butter used in this recipe and would almost certainly non utilise that much over again. That'southward the reason it only gets the 4 stars instead of v. The ease of this recipe is great. I know in that location are many, many ways to make a good stroganoff, but this one is a keeper for me and my family when a quick, merely succulent meal is needed on a decorated weeknight. Cheers for sharing this recipe. I will admittedly make this stroganoff again!!!
09/03/2013
I have been making a like recipe to this for years with one VERY importantant twist. Become ahead and cook your pasta as usual. I chocolate-brown the ground beef and when about one-half done I add together the chopped onion. Sautee all until done. Drain the excess fat from the browned beef. Add your fresh chopped garlic and sautee just a couple of minutes beingness conscientious not to burn the garlic. This is where I make my surreptitious twist to this recipe. I have plant that when you utilize flour to thicken the consistency of your sauce and add beef stock or beef bullion, there is an easier and much more delicious twist. I mix three-4 talespoon of Brown Gravy mix in near a cup of h2o and dissolve very well. Add together the brown Gravy mix and it thickens the sauce and gives it the Flavor Boost needed to keep this recipe from tasting so banal. Add the mushroms and continue to simmer until information technology thickens. I and then add the sourcream before serving and stir slightly so you can see the sour cream and brown gravy slightly mixed together. Now that'southward Gooood!!!
09/18/2008
really skillful. I used stew beef instead of ground beefiness.
09/16/2012
We really liked it. I felt that the sauce demand a bit extra beef flavor, so I added some beef base and and then it was perfect. Like shooting fish in a barrel and tasty. Will make again.
01/28/2015
Married man loved it...that's all that matters. Adjacent time I will add salt equally I cook the meat and maybe add together garlic for flavor. Otherwise, this is a great recipe! From start of chopping onions to the table...35 minutes! Thank yous!
02/23/2012
This is a fantastic dish! I did however brand slight changes: For my beefiness broth I merely added about 3 cups of water to my hamburger while cooking with some garlic pulverization, salt, pepper, and stale parsley and drained information technology and set it aside. I likewise used a 16 ounce container of sour cream rather than just a cup. I like to sprinkle a little more garlic pulverisation, table salt, and pepper in the end. Wonderful dish! Thank you!
ten/05/2012
Easy and tasty. I did add together fresh garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and doubled the mushrooms. My husband liked this.
02/14/2011
Awesome and easy! Thanx for the recipe.
07/31/2012
Sooooo good! My family loved information technology! Super like shooting fish in a barrel and quick to make and tastes significantly meliorate and so the boxed stuff. This will be one I use for years to come.
10/03/2010
I made this recipe the other night, although I fabricated it a piffling different and it came out GREAT! I don't like beef stroganoff at all, never have, but this was actually really good! I used 1 med. onion, 1lb of ground beefiness. 2 tbsp of flour, ane/2 C sour cream, one 1/2 C of beefiness goop and 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce forth with all the other ingredients this recipe called for. The Worcestershire sauce gives it a actually expert flavor.
04/30/2009
Really good - everyone cleaned their plates. Used beef stew meat instead of hamburger, and cooked this in the crock pot. First I coated the beef with flour and browned in batches with a lilliputian olive oil. Once all the beefiness was browned, I added a mixture of half shallots and half white onion (didn't accept enough of either by themselves) and pre-sliced baby Bella mushrooms to the skillet and lightly browned them. Added mushroom/onion mixture and beef to the crockpot, deglazed the skillet with some of the beef goop, then added all the broth to the crockpot. I also added some thyme leaves, as I like the flavour they add. When I got home, I mixed about a tablespoon of flour with the sour cream, so mixed the sour cream in the crockpot to cease. Served over kluski egg noodles. Great and super easy dinner to come home to.
01/24/2008
I didn't actually follow the recipe but I took another reviwers advice instead and cooked an onion in canola oil, and so browned 1 lb. of extra lean footing beef, added one can of consomme soup, then 1 cup of sour cream and 4 tbsp. of flour to the mixture and simmered until thick. I served this over egg noodles, and it was very yummy! thanks for the idea!
10/05/2000
I really liked this dish. This volition be a regular at my firm. In the future, though, I'll bleed the mushrooms and onions after sauteeing them. Adding them dorsum in with their juices caused the thickening broth to become way as well thin. (Oh ... I did add a splash of sherry with the broth. I couldn't resist!)
09/29/2001
The second time I fabricated this recipe, I added 1/3 c. white wine when adding the beef broth. It took a few minutes longer to cook, but the result was amazing!
09/26/2014
The only things I changed is that I don't use butter and I added one/4 cup of ruby-red vino. This time I had 93/7 fat ground beef. This is my go to repast for quick, delicious repast that makes me look skilful!
08/xiv/2003
I actually thought this was easy to brand. The but time I take ever eaten stroganoff was when I bought the boxed version. I actually liked this and since my married man was belatedly for dinner, it was an piece of cake recipe to hold up for a while. I did read the reviews before making and took some others ideas past adding some garlic to the meat while browning and a petty scrap of white wine to the sauce. It really tasted very expert. I recall next fourth dimension I will try it as it stands and see what the result is. Thank you for posting.
02/16/2003
Excellent, easy dinner. I added 2 cloves chopped garlic while browning the beef.
01/26/2011
Exactly what I was looking for. Tasted slap-up! the only thing I did dissimilar was that I added nigh 4 cloves of garlic to the mushroom/onion when sauteing. This can hands be modified to be a fleck more than heart healthy by using ground turkey, omitting the butter and but using a tablespoon of salubrious oil to cook the mushroom/onion/garlic and using a lite sour foam. YUM!!!
05/22/2012
This was great! Followed to a T with the exception of adding salt and pepper co-ordinate to my own sense of taste and also calculation swiss cheese to the sauce. Succulent!
11/29/2005
This was enjoyable, however I wish I had read the reviews earlier I attempted this. I made the fault of using low fat sour cream and it was much too watery and non rich enough. Alive for today and use full fat sour cream!! I will endeavor this over again though, it was very prissy and heated up very well the next 24-hour interval. :) Thanks for the recipe Colleen!
02/18/2006
Not bad. I thought it was a little on the bland side, but not bad.
03/10/2011
Very easy and quick, taste is good but if you add some extra spices is fifty-fifty better. My husband and teenagers liked information technology.
10/13/2002
This recipe was super like shooting fish in a barrel to brand and super succulent. In the past, I'd only used sliced beef steaks in my Stroganoff. But, after trying this recipe, I'll definitely switch! Information technology'due south a bit more tasty and a lot less expensive to brand. My husband is not a stroganoff fan. Only, later fooling him one nighttime by telling him that it was Hamburger Helper, he at present requests it -- very often! The only modification that I made was to add a fleck more beef broth, to requite it a little more flavor.
03/16/2010
This was good and easy and made cracking lunch for the next day. My husband fabricated it we changed the servings to 4 and added i TBS. Worschestire sauce, 2 cloves of garlic and one/2 c. of cerise wine. Will definately brand it over again.
08/07/2011
My husband loves Beef Stroganoff. It's not healthy by any means, merely yous can probably use low fat cream cheese and whole wheat noodles to cut down on the calories and fatty.
12/08/2012
SUPER easy! Great beginners recipe for learning beef stroganoff. I e'er play around with my recipes also and this one is pretty forgiving.
03/01/2011
Fantabulous. Based on reviews, I sauted a sliced onion and 8 oz. of sliced mushrooms in salt, pepper, garlic pulverisation & 1 tablespoon of olive oil and removed from pan. In the same pan, I and then brownish 2 pounds of ground turkey seasoned with salt, pepper and arlic powder and add ane tin can of beef goop. In a separate bowl, I mix 1 loving cup of fatty gratuitous sour cream with 3 tablespoons of flour with salt and pepper to gustation, then add to the meat mixture and let simmer until flavors accept blended.
01/11/2011
Yummy! Followed the recipe, but added fresh garlic when cooking the mushrooms and onion. My whole family liked this - especially my ii year old!
12/29/2010
Piece of cake and inexpensive. I added a nuance of worchestershire, minced garlic, black pepper, and a little ruby wine to round out the flavour.
06/16/2006
First-class! I made a few substitutions because of my blank pantry (i cup water due west/beef bullion instead of canned beef broth, onion powder instead of onions) and fabricated some changes due to gustatory modality (added 2 tsp. minced garlic to saute pan, used 1/ii of sour cream, added two tsp. Worcestershire sauce & added 1 cup foam of mushroom soup), but it was AWESOME and my family loved it. Will try over again the "right" mode! Thanks for the great recipe.
11/22/2002
this was a very easy repast to ready. i added green peppers to my mushrooms and onions. i used lowfat sour cream and information technology didn't change it one bit. i also added a little garlic pulverisation and black pepper for a stronger taste. Swell!!!!!
08/04/2004
Excellent with the following modifications. Outset, I sauted onions in cooking spray, not butter. And then browned beef with no butter. In addition to beef broth, I added three/4 cup dry carmine wine and a few dashes of worcestershire sauce and a tbsp of cornstarch. I and then had to boil for about 15 minutes to thicken. (I skipped the mushrooms). Finally, I added the onions and sour cream and served over hot buttered egg noodles - succulent and flavorful. Volition make over again - thanks!
11/16/2014
Easy and good
01/17/2012
A quick recipe for a skilful family meal, I added some garlic to the mushrooms and onion while they were cooking, definitely a recipe I will make again. More than than plenty left over for lunch the next day!
01/02/2012
The meal was great, like shooting fish in a barrel, and quick. I made a few changes because I didn't accept mushrooms. I added 1/2 cup of mushroom soup and strained the rest to put the mushrooms in the meal. I also added mustard seed seasoning and combined my noodles and stroganoff mixture before serving.
01/21/2007
This recipe definitely deserves five stars! Easy to make, fast and delicious... It will become a staple at my business firm. I had never made stroganoff earlier because I'chiliad not addicted of beef just with basis meat, it's a different story! Cheers for posting!
03/07/2012
Practiced season. I used one-half ground beefiness and half sausage. I didn't add as much sour cream and left out the mushrooms altogether. Will make this once more for certain! Very easy!
05/26/2010
I like using Campbell's condensed double strength beef broth or one can each of Campbell's beef broth and Campbell'southward french onion in this recipe to give it an extra umph in flavor. Great over egg noodles, best over garlic mashed potatoes. This is SO good.
09/26/2014
Really tasty! I added some minced garlic, though, and some garlic salt and freshly ground black pepper while the meat was cooking. Very easy, and very delicious! It was even tastier reheated the adjacent day.
11/11/2009
My beau really loves stroganoff, and this recipe was perfect. Topped with a fiddling sour cream, it was great. I almost always add together actress pepper to things similar this, so I recall that was the just affair I kinda changed. Corking recipe!
03/24/2006
5 stars with changes! Used ground turkey & worceshire sauce to season it. Also added 2 cloves of garlic to the mushrooms, used RED onion, and added 1 beef bullion cube.
08/13/2007
This was absolutely wonderful. Being single, I unremarkably make big meals on Lord's day evening so that I'll have something for the rest of the week for left-overs. This is even better the second day. I didn't really make any changes except for adding garlic to the mix. I but added the footing beef to the onion/mushroom/garlic mixture instead of removing. I mixed the flour in with the goop which did make information technology easier to mix. Also, simply to cutting out a step and extra dishes, I doubled the broth and just added the uncooked noodles to the whole mix, covered and allow simmer for about a one-half hour. Volition definitely make again.
xi/18/2009
Equally a jumping off point this recipe is bang-up. It is quick and easy and kid friendly. My family loves mushrooms so I was able to add more of the things that we beloved. Also I bumped upward the season with some crushed garlic and a little cherry pepper flake. It completed the flavor to perfection. My family loved it and I will make it over again and again.
07/09/2013
Followed the directions except I added cream of mushroom soup and 1 i/two cups of beef goop. Family LOVED it. All of them. That is a rarity in our house. Thanks!
06/19/2011
Very good. I had some left over trip tip and then I simply fabricated the sauce and served it over the meat forth with steamed white rice (my hubby likes this kind of dish better with rice than with noodles.)
09/12/2012
I've been using this exact recipe for years. I honey it. Only I noticed past reading some of the reviews that some people have trouble witht the sour foam breaking/seperating. You should have the pan off the heat before adding in the sour cream. Don't let it eddy after adding information technology. One cup of sour cream at room temp. won't cool the dish down much at all. I take the sour cream out when I showtime dicing the onions and mushrooms.
02/22/2010
very adept recipe. Modified it merely slightly by using strips of round steak that I had left over. And used just a flake of foam of mushroom along with the sour cream. Makes it quite tasty. Will practise this 1 again.
04/04/2011
i gotta say i didn't think this was amazing...but my family did, get figure. used craven broth (bullion) instead of beef broth. added a couple cloves minced garlic to sauteing onions.
07/13/2011
It was good except it chosen for likewise much onion. I had even reduced the onion to half a small onion and it was to overpowering of a gustation. Added garlic powder and lawry'southward seasoning while cooking the meat. Maybe would suggest a red onion or a sweet vidalia onion for a sweeter flavour.
11/03/2009
Thanks to reviewer "awesome in tummy." I took the suggestion of thinly slicing sirloin into strips instead of the ground beef. A scrap more than time consuming but very much worth the extra attempt! My husband absolutely loved this recipe and so did I. Read the suggestions by "crawly in tummy" and follow for a great dish.
01/14/2007
e'er comes out great! a fast and piece of cake repast to make when you're presssured for fourth dimension! the family loves it! and heats up great the next mean solar day!
04/21/2008
I added Worcestershire sauce as well as French cut green beans. I skipped the chopped onion and fresh mushrooms and in identify of them, used dried onions and canned mushrooms as I was lacking the extra time needed for the fresh ingredients. Information technology all turned out well and my family unit enjoyed it.
02/14/2011
it was ok but it seemed a bit dri
ten/12/2014
I did non care for this.
09/13/2011
I've fabricated this several times. It has great flavor and is and then easy to make.
12/12/2011
I used 1lb beefiness...2 lb would have been overkill. Skipped mushrooms and oil, and flavour was good. Even my two-and-a-half twelvemonth one-time ate information technology!
08/10/2002
My family ate this up, kids and adults. Swell recipe. One thing worth noting: I used lowfat sour cream and information technology did backbite from the season. Next time I will just become full fat.
09/26/2014
Swell quick supper. Lends itself to ingredients on hand!
eleven/13/2010
I love Beefiness Stroganoff, simply this recipe is lacking a little zing. I use strips of beef, 2-3 cloves of garlic, W-sauce, and my secret ingredient: Dijon mustard. Def kicked it into high gear.
04/20/2008
This recipe was dandy. The next day I added a can of tomato soup (with milk) to the leftovers and we had soup. Attempt it. It'due south really skilful.
03/29/2006
This was good merely I'd much rather make this with steak cut into strips.I used lean hamburger and even later draining the grease off I notwithstanding institute it too greasy. If your going to try this recipe use extra lean hamburger simply for the price of information technology y'all might as well become with 1 and a one-half lbs. of steak.
09/03/2013
While the recipe lends itself to a tasty and simple entree, the accompanying picture is really a plough off. The beef looks completely raw and the sauce has a red tint instead of the squeamish chocolate-brown beef and gravy that the recipe creates. Please supplant this picture with something more representative.
03/fourteen/2011
We halved the recipe and used footing turkey in place of the ground beef. Did not use any butter. Used reduced fat sour cream. Next fourth dimension, will add some garlic. Served with salad and "whole wheat beer bread" from this site.
05/07/2011
This actually turned out pretty good, but I did brand a few changes. First of all, I cut the recipe in half because it was but for two of u.s.. I used ground turkey, reduced fat sour cream and chicken stock because that is what I had. I also added diced bell peppers and some paprika. I felt it needed more than sour cream because it was nonetheless a little thin, so I added in about another 1/4 cup. I will definitely brand this once more because information technology was yummy, like shooting fish in a barrel, cheap and very filling!
06/27/2010
This was such an easy recipe! My teenagers and husband really enjoyed information technology!!
02/25/2007
Every bit is, this is ok. I left the sliced mushrooms out due to preference and subbed a can of cream of mushroom. To make it healthier, I use olive oil instead of butter. Sauteed some chopped garlic (1/2 - 1 T?) with the onions, and drained it the beef & onions before adding the sauce. I only use about two T of flour to balance the taste, and add nigh a quater of a loving cup milk to make it saucier. Very easy and quick! My Ingredients: i can cream of mushroom soup, one onion, 2-four T olive oil, 2 lbs beef, 2 T flour, 1/2 c sour cream, 1/iv c milk
03/07/2006
I have been making this for years at present, with the improver of a sprinkling of chopped parsley on elevation as a garnish. The family unit loves information technology, and has christened it Sorta Stroganoff
05/04/2005
I am 1 to follow a recipe and then add a few of my own touches. Well I was in a hurry and did'nt carp to add anything extra and that was a mistake. This recipe was so bland it was hardly touched. I will not make this again, information technology was terrible.
05/xiii/2012
Very quick and simple, but lacking on taste. It tasted like something was missing.
06/08/2010
this was kinda bland... I volition stick to my regular beefiness stroganoff recipe.
04/26/2011
I fallowed.the recipe just added 1 package of dry onion soup mix. It was the best I take ever tasted!

Liked this recipe because information technology was quick and easy. Need to add together some extra seasonings to make information technology taste like true beefiness stroganoff. Was a bit bland with only salt and pepper. Added onion table salt, and garlic salt as well as the salt and pepper. For depression sodium diets onion and garlic powders tin exist substituted. Also helps to mince some fresh garlic and cook with onion and mushrooms at first of recipe. Very Yummy!

This is a great Stroganoff -no fuss no mess. Since there are merely two of us at abode, I used one pound of beef, 3 Tbs of flour, 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce and 1 cup of fat free sour cream and the stroganoff still came out terrific. Since I didn't accept egg noodles in my pantry, I used fusili (or rotini) and my hubby actually liked them improve. By the way, the left over sauce freezes very well. Thaw to room temperature then heat and serve. Great make ahead dinner.

Very skilful recipe. I made this vegetarian with Morn Farm Crumbles instead of beef, and used a vegetable broth instead of beef, but other than that followed the recipe. Anybody loved it..even the carnivores. Thank you lot, slap-up recipe.
